WORLD DOUBLE DUTCH SPEED CHAMPIONS

CONGRATULATIONS TO:

Beci, Rachael , Sophie and Bobby for acheiving a new world record in 4 X 45 sec double dutch speed - 562

THE FOLLOWING MEDALS WERE WON BY THE GB TEAM:

GOLD - Double Dutch Speed relay

BRONZE - Overall Senior Open Team

SILVER - Double Dutch Freestyle and double dutch speed combined

BRONZE - single rope relay speed

Beci also received BRONZE - 30 second speed individual

Beci is ranked 9th in the World

Rachael is ranked 5th in the World for Freestyle

Gemma is ranked 14th in the World

Bobby is ranked 16th in the World

Laura is ranked 24th in the World

Sophie is ranked 39th in the World

Madonna video

Beci, Rachael, Billie and Gemma were chosen to be filmed for Madonna's new video.

Unfortunately the footage wasnt used as the team decided to release a Maddona only video, we were told that this was a creative decision. the girls were told that they were "fab" and that Madonna loved them

But it was a great experience and the girls got to meet Madonna several times during rehearsal, unfortunately photos were not allowed for confidentiality reasons.

But it will be an experience never to forget :-)

 

CONGRATULATIONS

Six of our younger skippers, Lauren Shepherd, Chloe Greaves, Aimee Summers, Elana Allum, Loren Lewis and Stacie Pegg travelled to Belgium this weekend for their first competition abroad.

They entered the Belgium Minimasters in Oostmalle.They all did extremeley well being a credit to themselves and the Blue and Whites.

There were 56 entries and the results are below.

JUDGES COURSE - 5th APRIL 2008

There will be a Judges course run this day, to be held at the Hotel Camponile in Redditch Worcestershire.

If you are interested please let me know (Sue) you will need to read the new rules which can be found on www.fisac.org and you will need to study the new judges cd. If you havent got a copy let me know and I will get one to you.

We have invited Pieter Himpe from Belgium to run the course for us, he is Chairman of the Rules Committee

London Festival - Lea Valley 2012 - 22nd June

4 skippers will be demonstrating and teaching throughout the day

Stratford Sports Awards - 18th January 2008

The awards were held at The Holiday Inn Hotel in Stratford.

London Palladium Demo - 20th January

The Demo team travelled to London to perform at the London Palladium at the

MEGA MAALAI. This is a Charity fundraising event. For more details of this event you can log onto http://icu-its.com/?page_id=12

Well done to all the demo team. It was a very long day leaving Studley at 8am in the morning and not performing until 10pm that night. Returning home at 2am Monday morning, lucky it was a teacher training day for most of you on the Monday !!

The performance was fantastic and will be up on you tube in the next week.

 

ClubFreshJive 2007 - Leeds

Bobby, Beci, Bill, Gemma, Gemma, Tasmin and Laura travelled up to Leed University on Sunday 23rd September, to run a workshop and perform at the above event.

Sport England Demonstration

Skippers from the BWRS Demonstration team performed a demonstration for the Sport England AGM on 11th December held at the NEC.

They also got a photo opportunity with Lord Sebation Coe who was there delivering a speech.

Rachael got 3rd place for 30 second speed (92) in the World Masters and Emma acheived 3rd place for 30 second speed (88) in the Maple Leaf Open Masters.

Congratulations to Rachael for getting 94 in both speed and double unders, in the team relays, a new National record
